Painters, the heart and soul of Royal Worcester! As the factory is well known for its' beautiful hand painting,
I thought you might like to know a little about the artists. I won't start with the most famous, rather the most unusual.
Kitty Blake worked at the factory from 1905-1953. she was well known for her Blackberry studies, painted in Autumnal shades.
The original IT girl, she was well known for her vivacious (Some say outrageous) personality.
Bright red lips, and most shockingly a cigarette hanging from them!
Her talent must have far outweighed her modernity as she was well liked by the older, gentleman painters
and had a very succesfull career at Royal Worcester, the most prestigious porcelain factory in the UK.
